OHIO – The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles will reopen on Tuesday May 26. Lt Gov. Jon Husted said during a press conference on Thursday.

Gove Dewine made the remarks during the same press conference that he wants people to utilize the online services such as vehicle registration, scheduling driving tests, and updating information.

Beginning Tuesday, May 26, Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) locations in Ohio will be permitted to reopen for certain services if these facilities can meet required safety protocols.

Services that can be accomplished online should still be done online. More details on online BMV services can be found at oplates.com.

The BMV will have a list of requirements to follow that are not yet available.
