COLUMBUS – On Saturday May 23, 2020 a young boy was rushed to Children’s hospital after a drowning episode on 2497 Azeida St.
According to police they arrived on scene around 8:18 pm where they found Fabian Maldonado-Cortz unresponsive and administered CPR until Columbus First responders arrived. Fabian was transferred to Children’s Hosptial in Columbus where he was pronounced dead a hour and a half later.
Investagtions revealed that Fabian had been subject to severe abuse which lead to his death. His mother Ms. Oneida Maldonado-Cortez was charged with murder, his step father Jose Emanuel Santos was charged with Enagering Children.
