CIRCLEVILLE – The Pickaway County Bar Association is hosting the second annual run that The Pickaway County Bar Association say you don’t have to train too hard for.  The .5 bar race is a spoof on the 5k mile races that happen throughout the area.

“Its all for a great cause,” said Pickaway Bar Association.  The proceeds to this unique event this year will go towards benefit Uptown Circleville and Ted Lewis Park renovations.

The tedious less than half a mile run starts at Shifty’s Tavern at 122 Washington Street and ends Thirsty Parrot on South Washington Street. The best news is that you don’t have to run, you can walk, crawl or even ride in a vehicle provided by a sponsor.

But wait theres more!!!!  If you register by April 30 you get a sweet shirt saying you ran, walked, crawled, or rode to the finish line of the prestigious event.   Cost is 35 dollars for runners, 35 dollars for walkers, and 50 for golf cart riders, gas is expensive for a .5 drive I guess, plus you get a chauffeur.

The only Catch is you must sign a waiver that the bar association will not come to your aid if you do something dumb.  Of course they have a wavier they are LAWYERS!
