Two Vehicle Fatal Crash in Fairfield County

Fairfield County- The Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred on Friday, November 19, 2021 at approximately 7:43 PM, on State Route 37 near milepost 20, in Pleasant Township.
Ronald Gleason, age 45, of Junction City, Ohio, was operating a 1991 Chevrolet 1500, eastbound on State Route 37. Todd Keister, age 42, of Junction City, Ohio, was a passenger with Mr. Gleason. David Fausnaugh, age 54, of Lancaster, Ohio, was operating a 1986 Chevrolet Starcraft westbound on State Route 37. Holly Landis, age 38, of Lancaster, Ohio, was a passenger with Mr. Fausnaugh.


Mr. Fausnaugh drove across the centerline striking Mr. Gleason head-on. Mr. Fausnaugh and Mr. Gleason were pronounced deceased at the crash scene. Ms. Landis and Mr. Keister were transported by Air Evac to Grant Medical center with non-life threating injuries.

Impairment is suspected to be a factor.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Fairfield County Ohio Department of Transportation.
Other agencies on scene: Fairfield County Coroner, Richland Township, Berne Township, Greenfield Township, Pleasant Township and Lancaster City Fire and EMS agencies.
The traffic crash remains under investigation by the Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
