FRIDAY JUNE 4th 2021

03:18AM Officers received a call requesting directions. An individual stopped at Go Mart and requested to speak with an Officer as she was having trouble finding her cabin rental. The individual stated that her GPS kept making her go in circles. Officers were able to provide the caller with directions to her cabin rental.

04:03AM Officers performed a vehicle stop on US 33 near the Buchtel Exit. The driver of the vehicle was given a verbal warning, then released.

04:51AM Officers responded to E Canal St for a report of a narcotics related complaint. The caller reported a man lying in the road on Canal St next to a wrecked bicycle. Officers arrived to find the man bleeding and showing signs of overdosing. EMS was requested to the scene. The male individual was transported to a local hospital for care.

08:59AM Officers responded to the Public Square for a report of theft. The caller reported that someone had wired money out of their account without permission. A statement was collected.

10:28AM Officers responded to E Canal St for an investigative complaint.

01:24PM Officers responded to Fort St for a request of a well-being check. It was noted that negative contact was made. Officers were able to look through a window but did not see or hear anything inside of the residence.

01:53PM Officers responded to Clinton St for an investigative complaint.

02:08PM Officers responded to Jackson St to assist the Athens County Prosecutors Office.

02:22PM Officers responded to Rocky Boots for a report of theft. The caller reported that a male walked out with a pair of boots without paying, but that he left his unlocked cellphone in the store.

02:29PM Officers responded to Kontner St. The caller reported that the neighbor’s home alarm was going off for 5-10 minutes before it shut off. It was determined that the resident did not know how to turn the alarm off. All was fine.

02:44PM Officers responded to E Canal St for an investigative complaint. The caller reported seeing a male individual in a vehicle that kept “nodding off.” Officers located and spoke to the individual. It was determined that the individual was sleep deprived and was in no condition to drive. The individuals mother arrived on scene and took possession of the vehicle to drive him home.

03:10PM Officers responded to Clinton St for a report of a Domestic Disturbance. The individual stated that she heard people from a couple streets over and believed that they were yelling at her even though she could not see them, so she yelled back. Situation resolved.

03:58PM Officers responded to High St with an individual who requested Officers be present while he retrieves a vehicle. The caller was able to take possession of the vehicle without any issue.

08:58PM Officers responded to Jefferson St for a report of a suspicious person. The caller reported people going into an abandoned house. Officers located and made contact with two male individuals who stated that they were looking at the residence. It was noted that the residence was boarded up and that the individuals could not get inside.

09:23PM Officers responded to E Canal St for an investigative complaint.

09:34PM Officers responded to Myers St for an investigative complaint. The caller reported that she saw a male with a Kroger cart walking down the street. The caller agreed to return the cart for the neighbor.

09:47PM Officers performed a vehicle stop on Diamond St. The driver of the vehicle was given a verbal warning, then released.

10:01PM Officers responded to Poplar St for a report of an animal related complaint. The caller reported that the neighbors have been gone for a few days and their dogs have been inside the residence for the duration of the time. It was believed that some were caged, and others were roaming in the home. Officers were provided with contact information for the landlord.

10:22PM Officers responded to W Washington St for an investigative complaint. The caller requested that Officer’s patrol the library area and surrounding areas after a teenage girl had told her that an older male was harassing her and attempting to follow her home. Officers patrolled the area and surrounding areas, but negative contact was made at this time.

10:32PM Officers responded to W Canal St to assist the Fire Department/EMS.

10:43PM Officers responded to E Columbus St for a report of a suspicious person. The caller reported that a male and female were arguing. Officers located and spoke to the individuals. It was noted that the dispute was verbal and that there were no signs of anything physical that had taken place. The individuals stated that they would keep it down.

SATURDAY JUNE 5th 2021

12:07AM Officers responded to Mill St for a report of a fight. The caller advised that there were three men fighting. Officers patrolled the area and surrounding areas but negative contact with anyone who was involved in an altercation was made.

12:48AM Officers responded to Pleasentview Ave for a report of a Domestic Disturbance. David Mohr was arrested and transported the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.

03:45AM Officers performed a vehicle stop on Hocking Parkway. Anthony Carey was cited for no Operators License and for not wearing a seatbelt. A valid driver took possession of the vehicle.

10:38AM Officers responded to Murray’s Landing for a report of theft. The caller reported that someone had taken a lime green kayak without paying and went down the river. The caller also reported that the suspect let their dog loose around their vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and dog. The dog warden was contacted and took possession of the dog. A local towing company was requested and took possession of the vehicle. The suspect returned to Murray’s landing approximately a couple hours later and was arrested and transported to NPD for charges. Kimberly Reardon was charged with theft, then released.

01:50PM Officers responded to E Canal St for an investigative complaint.

03:14PM Officers received a phone call pertaining to a grass cutting complaint. The caller reported that a lawn mowing company had cut grass on her property and damaged grass seed that she had put down on her yard. The caller was advised that they could do a call sheet for the incident but that it is a civil matter.

06:48PM Officers responded to Walnut St for a request of a well-being check. Officers made contact with the individual who stated that she was fine.

07:51PM Officers responded to Dollar General on E Canal St for a possible Overdose. EMS and the Fire Department were requested to the scene. The female was transported by EMS.

08:04PM Officers responded to Watkins St for a report of theft. Jennifer Lovsey was charged with Criminal Mischief, Criminal Trespass, and Criminal Damaging.

08:59PM Officers responded to Poplar St to serve charges to an individual. Upon arriving, the Officer caught a male and female melting heroin down on a spoon. A small amount of suspected heroine was recovered and will be sent to BCI for testing. Charges are pending according to the results.

SUNDAY JUNE 6th 2021

01:44AM Officers responded to E Franklin St in an attempt to locate the owner of the vehicle whose interior light had been left on. Officers made contact with the owner of the vehicle who advised he would turn it off so his battery would not drain.

10:36AM Officers responded to Burr Oak Blvd for a report of a domestic disturbance. The caller reported that she has asked a male individual to leave her residence for a couple of days, but he keeps refusing to leave even after stating that he will. The caller now wished for the male to be trespassed from her home. The male gathered his belongings and was taken to a relative’s house.

10:53AM Officers were flagged down by a male individual who stated that he had been robbed. The male stated that he was robbed during a drug deal but did not know the name of the male who robbed him.

12:24PM Officers responded to Penn St in Glouster on a request to assist with an active dispute. Central Dispatch advised that their units were tied up with other calls. Officers arrived and determined that the dispute was all verbal over a cell phone.

04:52PM Officers responded to Saint Charles St for a narcotics related complaint. The caller reported that she found a syringe in her trash can. Officers collected the needle for proper disposal.

04:58PM Officers responded to Mill St for a report of an activated alarm. Officers completed a safety check of the home and area. It was noted that the residence was secure with no signs of forced entry or foul play.

06:05PM Officers responded to Chestnut St for a report of a prowler in the area. The caller reported that her kids’ father had been stalking her and her child as well as having his brother follow them. It was noted that the incident had taken place in Athens. The caller was instructed to contact Athens PD.

06:25PM Officers responded to W Columbus St for an investigative complaint.

08:13PM Officers responded to W Franklin St for an animal related call. The caller reported that she saw some dogs running loose in the area. Officers patrolled the area and surrounding areas but all dogs that they came in contact with were all on leashes.

08:33PM Officers responded to US 33 for a report of a reckless driver who was speeding and swerving. Officers located the vehicle in question, but no reckless driving was witnessed. No citation was issued.

09:18PM Officers responded to Lancaster St for a report of a domestic disturbance. The caller reported that he could hear a couple yelling and screaming at each other from a block away. Officers patrolled the area and surrounding areas but had negative contact with anyone arguing or yelling.

09:42PM Officers performed a vehicle stop on W Canal St. The driver of the vehicle was given a verbal warning for a loud exhaust, then released.
