CIRCLEVILLE – One of our local postal truck driver said it was so hot in his truck he wanted to see how hot and brought a thermometer from home. He pointed to a fan they have inside the cab but all it does is blow hot air he said so he leaves it off.

“Its ranged from 100-104 degrees inside the cab of my mail truck all day, its hot,” said the local carrier. Its hot for us in the trucks because we can’t walk around and get the wind or in the shade, we are stuck in a metal box.”

The mail carrier a veteran mail carrier of many years said he wasn’t complaining but just curious. He said the postal service does a good job telling them what the signs of heat stroke are and they let them carry a cooler of cold water or gatorade on hot days. He said hot days are like the cold days its what we signed up for when we took the job.

“The mail doesn’t stop for weather,” he said.

Lets all give a shout out to people who are working outside in this environment today.
