CIRCLEVILLE – Around 3:25 a 911 call came into Pickaway Sheriffs office of a two car accident and one of those vehicles was on its top after a roll over on US-23.

According to the Pickaway Deputy on scene a white van was heading Northbound on US-23 when the Black Jeep Liberty also going Northbound on US-23 clipped the rear end of the van trying to pass. That collision caused the Liberty driver to lose control and leave the roadway at a high rate of speed. The angle of the jeep caused the vehicle to roll over several times before coming to rest on its top in a water filled ditch at the edge of the tree line. The driver was able to escape the vehicle from the drivers door.

The driver suffered only minor injuries and refused treatment at the hospital. The driver of the white van was not injured and the damage to his vehicle was minor enough that he was allowed drive away from the scene after police released him. Both drivers had seatbelts on at the time of the crash, and no other occupants were in the vehicles.

Pickaway Township, Harrison fire, Circleville fire, OSP, and Pickaway Sheriff were on the scene.
