Chillicothe – Update to the accident we reported earlier tonight.
The Chillicothe Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that occurred on Sunday, January 19, 2020, at approximately 5:27 P.M. at the intersection of State Route 159 and Delano Road. A 2003 Ford F-150, driven by Dylan Ross, age 18, of Chillicothe, Ohio, was traveling northbound on State Route 159 and at tempting to turn left onto Delano Road. A 2018 Ford Taurus, driven by Julia Penwell, 75, also of Chillicothe, was traveling westbound on Delano Road. Mrs. Penwell failed to yield at a red light and struck the Ford F-150. Both vehicles traveled off the northwest corner of the intersection and the Ford struck a fence. Both drivers and a juvenile in the Ford F -150 were transported to Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe for treatment. Mrs. Penwell was later transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. The Green Township Fire Department and EMS assisted on the scene, along with Medcare
Ambulance Services.
