UPDATE: Two Men Sent to Hospital After Jumping Truck on US23

PICKAWAY – Two people were sent to hospital after jumping a crossover in the middle of US 23 in Pickaway County.

According to Pickaway Sheriff Deputy on scene around 4:22 pm two Franklin County men were traveling Northbound on US 23 when the driver of the Ford F150 failed to maintain lanes and left the roadway at a high rate of speed and struck the median crossover in-between the North and Southbound lanes. The truck ramped and jumped about 60 feet then landed on its drivers side front, then onto its side sliding another 40 feet, and coming to its stop by rolling into its top. The crash ended just south of Weigand Rd.

Both men were transported to Berger with minor injuries by local Firefighter/EMT, and according to Deputy on scene may be transported to Columbus Hospitals after assessments. Deputy said that both occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Pickaway County Sheriff, Harrison Township, and Scioto township were on scene.

The case is still under investigation, the deputy on scene did not suspect driver was under the influence.
