PICKAWAY – On April 11th around 10:20 pm Circleville Police Department was dispatched to Ohio Heights located on East Ohio Street in Circleville for the report of a felonious assault between two males, it was reported that one of the males had a knife in his hand.

When police arrived on scene they interviewed several witnesses that both parties fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival.

Police began searching the area for both males who had fled the scene. One detective began to search the area of Mingo Street near Union Street where they located a male, that was placed in custody after he tried to hide illegal narcotics.

A witness then showed units where the fight took place. No evidence was located at that scene other than a broken stick with not marks or blood. At that time the witness stated that one of the people invovled is known to visit multiple apartments in that area. Multiple units searched multiple apartments with negative contact. At that time a apartment of Lincoln Heights was searched due to a witness stating visits that apartment from time to time with negative contact.

While clearing the scene a female approached and stated that one of the involved parties was behind her apartment walking towards Ray Ave. Ofc. Nicholson and I then made contact with who stated that there was no incident at Ohio Heights and the only incident he could think of was at Kroger where a male ” sucker punched ” him but he did not have any injuries and did not want a report or charges against that male.

Due to lack of evidence and no victim this matter is closed. All units then cleared the scene with out incident. This incident had nothing to do with the downtown cruise in situation.
