On Wednesday, the United Way of Pickaway County (UWPC) presented the Pickaway County Community Action organization (PICCA) with its first quarter funding award of $12,107.90. The PICCA funding award is made possible as the result of the United Way’s campaign funding and was presented to the community action entity at the May meeting of the UWPC Board of Trustees.

The campaign donation specifically funds PICCA’s outreach with Head Start’s Behavior Support program, their Free Tax Clinic Initiative, Homelessness Prevention efforts, and Wheels to Work programming. All four programs align with the UWPC’s locally-organized funding streams dedicated entirely to education, income, health, and safety net assistance.

The UWPC is a proud supporter of PICCA and their mission to be “an active agent and partner for change in Pickaway County”.
