ASHVILLE – The Teays Valley Educational Foundation recently awarded a a grant for $6,300 grant to Teays Valley East Middle School 7th grade language arts teacher Courtney Gonder to purchase a subscription to NoRedInk. It is an online program that allows the students to work on grammar, commonly misspelled words and punctuation, as well as writing skills.
“On behalf of the 400 students and five teachers that will benefit from NoRedInk, we would like to thank the Foundation for their generosity and support. This program will not only help our students become better writers, but also build our students’ confidence in reading,” Gonder said. “Considering all of our students are now 1:1 with Chromebooks, this online program will be a valuable resource in our language arts classrooms. Thank you so much for helping so many of our students this year.”
