Sun Looks Like Carved Pumpkin

EARTH – NASA Captured this crazy image from the Solar Dynamics Observatory satellite, it shows the active regions on the sun.

Active regions of the sun are created in this image because the bright spots show more light and energy than the others. These are markers of a intense and complex set of magnetic fields that hover around the suns atmosphere giving it that pumpkin look.

“Even our star celebrates the spooky season — in 2014, active regions on the Sun created this jack-o’-lantern face, as seen in ultraviolet light by our Solar Dynamics Observatory satellite,” said NASA on facebook.
