WAYNE COUNTY – Last nights thunder and lighting storm was the result of a serious weather cell that came across the midwest and created some serious weather in Wayne County Indiana last night.

Around 9 pm last night metrologist started warning the Buckeye state that some serious weather was heading into the area that had already possibly caused damages on the border. Although the cell dissipated and we only received heavy rains, thunder and lightning last night it was a disturbing memory on the weather we received just two weeks prior.

According to the National weather service that have now confirmed that the storm that traveled through Wayne County Indiana did cause a tornado to touchdown in the Richmond Mall area. Measurements and assessments have to be done to determine what strength the tornado was.
