SCIOTO COUNTY: Autopsy Report on Baby Found in a Well

SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio (WCHS/WVAH) — The autopsy report of a baby whose body was found in a well has been released by the Scioto County Coroner’s Office.

Montgomery County Coroner’s Office performed the autopsy on Dylan Groves, whose body was found on June 12th in Otway.

Susan Brown, the Montgomery County Deputy Coroner stated that in her opinion the infant died from homicidal violence.

Dylan’s parents, Daniel and Jessica Groves were indicted two days after their baby’s body was found on murder charges.

The autopsy report stated his body was concealed in several plastics bags, then secured with duct tape then bound with chains inside of crates. He also suffered from multiple fractures to his skull, leg and ribs. Although the autopsy report does not include toxicology analysis, it is noted that there was a presence of methamphetamine and amphetamines in his system.

Children’s Services Executive Director, Dr. Lorra Fuller with Scioto County was placed on administrative leave following an investigation on the handling of this case by the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services.
