Ross County Reporting High Number of Overdoses and Four Deaths Since May 1

ROSS – The Ross county Health District is reporting an overdose alert due to the increase in overdoses and overdose deaths since May 1.


According to a press release from the Ross county health district. Ninteen overdoses is unusually high for a week in Ross county, those overdoses resulted in four deaths.

The department explains that this is most likely due to fentanyl in the community. A drug that is used in the manufacture of other drugs that makes the drug more effective, the drug fentanyl also does not react to narcan.

Ross County health reminds people that no drug is safe but if you are using dont take chances, carry naloxone and substance users should never use alone.
