Ross County OH- According to dispatch, just before 6:30P.M an individual had suffered an accidental gunshot wound to the stomach. At this point it is unclear if the wound is self inflicted or not.
Sheriff deputies are on scene and medics are in route to the scene in the 900 block of U.S. 23 at this moment. Dispatch has contacted medical helicopter transport for availability.
Medical helicopter transport is in route with an 18 minute time of arrival and will land on a pad on George Hollow Rd. The individual has been transported by helicopter to Grant Hospital in Columbus to be treated for the gunshot wound.
