SAVANNAH – A Restaurant in Ashland County is reopening tomorrow after a legal battle with its health department. Ashland County Health Department shut down Cattlemans Restaurant with a cease and desist operations after it observed several of the establishments employees without face coverings on July 15. The restaurants owner Mandy Close filed a temporary restraining order, permanent injunction and monetary damages against the Ashland County Board of Health and Health Commissioner Heather Reffett after the health department refused to meet with her. In the lawsuit paperwork the owner claims the cook and the dishwasher were operating with social distancing and were not wearing a mask, the sole waitress temporarly removed her mask due to overheating and dizziness. Ashland County Common Pleas Court Judge Ron Forstheofel awarded the Cattlemans a temporary restraining order against the health department order this week, this would allow the restaurant to reopen. The court is expected to schedule a preliminary injunction hearing on or before July 31. To read the entire document here:
