CIRCLEVILLE – An accident occurred on Walnut Creek Pike just south of Perrill Rd. around 6 pm on Friday, June 7, 2019.

According to Pickaway County Sheriff on the scene the driver Nikolas Deeds, 22 of Pickerington of a 2005 Infinity G-35 was driving Northbound on Walnut Creek Pike when he decided to pass three vehicles in a row in a no passing zone at a high rate of speed. While passing two of the three cars, a truck heading southbound made the driver of the Infinity have to swerve back into the Northbound lane hitting the first car of the three vehicles he was passing. This forced the Lincoln Town Car off the right side of the road over a 10-foot embankment and into trees. The Infinity also lost control and went off the left side of the roadway into trees.

Both vehicles suffered substantial damage. Deeds was unharmed, and his passenger sustained a minor leg injury.

The occupants of the Town car Mark and Judy Dixon were transported to Mt Carmel East with injuries after multiple fire departments took about 45 minutes to stabilize the vehicle from sliding down the embankment further, and then extricate them.

Nikolas Deeds, 22 was charged with Assured clear distance and improper passing and will be at fault for causing the accident. After background check on Deeds, he was charged earlier last week with reckless op in Columbus.

Pickaway County Sheriff, Bloomfield Fire, Harrison fire/EMT, Scioto Township Fire was on the scene.

Police did report that all were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
