Ina J. Whitley, 90, of Circleville, formerly of New Boston, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, in Berger Hospital in Circleville.

Born on June 21, 1925, in New Boston, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Verla Mae Hall Clevenger and was a homemaker.

Ina was a graduate of Glenwood High School and former member of the New Boston Church of the Nazarene.

Preceding her in death were her husband, James R. “Ott” Whitley, whom she married on May 20, 1945, in New Boston; two brothers, Paul and Joe Clevenger; and a sister, Edith Hatton.

Surviving are a son, James (Jane) Whitley, D.D.S. of Chillicothe; a daughter, Ann (Don) Cullum of Circleville; two brothers, Charles Clevenger of New Boston and Jack (Barb) Clevenger of Wheelersburg; and three sisters, Dorothy Tipton of Glendale, Arizona, Phyllis Hewitt of Indiana and Kay (Doug) Patton of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Matt (Kathy) Whitley, Rachel Taylor, Joe Whitley, Sarah (Scott) Hojnacki, Stephanie (Tim) Bivens, Andrea (Greg) Tipping and Don Cullum; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, at the Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. The family will receive guests at 10 a.m. Monday at Brant’s.
