Della “Jane” Stevens

Della “Jane” (Nungester) Stevens, 81, of Laurelville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, surrounded by family.

She was born April 14, 1934, in Adelphi, the daughter of Rancy and Alice (Pritchard) Nungester.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her devoted husband of 41 years, Donald Stevens; and sisters, Betty Nungester, Bernice Frazier and Anne Arledge.

Left behind to cherish their memories are her family, including her beloved children, Vickie Noble of Granville and Gary Stevens of Laurelville; grandchildren, Stacey Stevens of Grove City and Jennifer Noble of Granville; sister, Josephine “Dib” Huggins of Grandview Heights; as well as many friends and family members.

A very loving wife, mother and grandmother, Jane also actively worked to enrich her community through years of civic-minded service, including volunteering with the auxiliary fire department in Adelphi, greeting and registering voters with the Board of Elections and carrying out various roles in the Adelphi Bologna Festival. Additionally, she diligently worked at the GE plant in Circleville for over 15 years.

Those wishing to join Jane’s family in celebrating her life may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at the funeral home with Rev. James Vandagriff officiating. Burial will follow in Green Summit Cemetery in Adelphi.
