Norma Jean Beatty, 78, of Circleville, went to be with her Lord on Sept. 24, 2015, in Circleville.

She was born on June 2, 1937, in Champaign County, to Clarence and Grace (Betts) Alexander.

She was a former member of the reorganized Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and Pickaway County Senior Citizens.

Norma worked as a waitress for many years; these included Pickaway Arms, LK in Circleville and Chillicothe, Bob Evans, Hoovers, Circleville Country Club, Orient Food Center and the Sheriff’s Department for Betty and Dwight Radcliff. Norma loved to go to church and listen to gospel music.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Beatty; sisters, Verna Jean Alexander, Dorothy Keller, Rosalie Farley, Phyllis Smith and Charlene Anderson; brothers, Loren and Virgil Alexander; and three step-children, Cindy, Bruce and Rick Beatty.

Norma is survived by her daughters, Vicki Diehl and Linda (Jeff) Kane, both of Chillicothe; step-son, Brad Beatty; 10 grandchildren, Mark Diehl, Angie Johnson, Crystal Miller, Jeffrey Kane, Kelly King, Brianna Parish, Ryan, Eric, Josh and Caleb Beatty; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gardenia Roll and Shirlene (Dick) Weaver, both of Circleville; and by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, at the Wellman Funeral Home with Pastor Ty Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Springlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
