CIRCLEVILLE – Tips from local residents led to a drug trafficking arrest Thursday on South Pickaway Street.

Bryan S. Greeno, 31, is in the Pickaway County Jail charged with a first-degree felony count of trafficking in heroin and a second-degree felony count of possession of heroin.

According to reports, detectives and officers from the Circleville Police Department acted on several tips of drug activity at 1234 S. Pickaway St. in the city. Officers made contact with the resident about 4:20 p.m. Thursday and were allowed to enter the residence.

Once inside, officers reportedly located several items of drug paraphernalia, along with 11 grams of brown powder heroin and more than $1,900 in cash.

Greeno was already out on bond from a previous charge Aug. 4 when an officer recognized him standing outside the police station on East Franklin Street and realized he had an active arrest warrant.

In addition to the warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug abuse instruments, Greeno was charged with additional felony counts when officers reportedly discovered 15.7 grams of heroin and $1,689.03 in cash in his possession.

According to Sgt. Matthew Hafey, information leading to Greeno’s arrest was obtained from the concerned citizens of Circleville, and such contributions help keep Circleville a great community.

The Circleville Police Department urges citizens to continue to call the drug tip hotline at 740-477-DRUG (3784) to report drug activity in the city.
