Staff Reports

The following cases were heard Jan. 28. by Judge P. Randall Knece in Pickaway County Common Pleas Court:

– James R. West, 20, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine. He was sentenced to three years in state prison at Orient and a six-month driver’s license suspension.

– Kyle L. Bentley, 21, of South Pickaway Street, Circleville, pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery. He was sentenced to three years in state prison at Orient.

– Michael A. Hamby, 50, of Chillicothe, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin and possession of cocaine. He was sentenced to 24 months in state prison at Orient and ordered to forfeit $615. He also received a six-month driver’s license suspension.

– Justin J. Hardy, 23, an inmate at the Ross Correctional Institution in Chillicothe, pleaded guilty to felonious assault. He was sentenced to two years in state prison at Orient.

– Jesse A.D. Brown, 38, of Millersport, pleaded guilty to safecracking. He was sentenced to 13 months in state prison at Orient.

– Robert F. Holbert II, 40, of Sciotoville, pleaded not guilty to possession of heroin. A pretrial hearing is set for Feb. 13.

– Terry L. Poling, 51, of Chillicothe, pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs. A pretrial hearing is set for Feb. 13.

– Curt W. Knight, 28, of Somerset, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property. He will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

– Kathryn A. Mitchell, 28, of Thornville, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs. She will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

– Ashlee M. Burroughs, 23, of Fausnaugh Road SW, Stoutsville, pleaded not guilty to a violation of terms of intervention. A hearing is set for Feb. 11.

– James H. Barnes II, 43, of Watt Street, Circleville, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin. He was sentenced to three years of intervention.
