August 10

– Garret K. Gartin, 21, was arrested on indictment from Pickaway County Common Pleas Court for voluntary manslaughter and reckless homicide.

– Matthew G. Halley, 36, for was arrested on indictment from Pickaway County Common Pleas Court for burglary, theft, breaking and entering, grand theft of a motor vehicle, failure to comply with order of a police officer, receiving stolen property and possession of criminal tools.

– Kyle R. Cockerham, 32, was arrested on indictment from Pickaway County Common Pleas Court for kidnapping and felonious assault.

– Carl L. Lofton, 58, was arrested on indictment from Pickaway County Common Pleas Court for two counts of receiving stolen property.

– Christopher J. Alten, 56, was arrested on indictment from Pickaway County Common Pleas Court for domestic violence.

– Hanley D. Davis, 23, was arrested on indictment from Pickaway County Common Pleas Court for nonsupport of dependents.

– Matthew Kellough, 32, was arrested on indictment from Pickaway County Common Pleas Court for nonsupport of dependents.

August 12

– A deputy and the canine Marko assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol at a traffic stop on U.S. Route 23 with a free air search. Marko indicated on the vehicle, and the OSHP handled the scene.

August 13

– A resident in the 27000 block of Moccasin Road, Laurelville, reported an unknown person blew up his mailbox.

– Marty T. Karshner, 42, of Chillicothe, was arrested for possession of drugs scheduled I, II, manufacture or cultivation of illegal drugs and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs after drug items were located in a shed on the property in the 11000 block of Hayesville Road.

– A resident in the 9900 block of U.S. Route 22 West, Williamsport, reported a suspect wrote a check to him for property and it was returned. A report was taken on theft and a bad check.

– A deputy responded to a complaint on a person in the 20600 block of U.S. Route 23, Circleville.

– A deputy responded to reports of a suspicious person at Deer Creek beach, Mt. Sterling.

– A deputy responded to a complaint on a person in the 7000 block of Old Tarlton Pike, Circleville.

– Amos Payne II, 38, of Circleville, advised he was traveling northbound on Winchester Road and was unable to stop in time, striking the rear of a vehicle driven by Gary Russell, 48, of Canal Winchester. No injuries were reported.

– Jeff Pauley, 53, of Circleville, advised he was traveling eastbound on Pontious Road and went off the right side of the roadway, striking a large pine tree. No injuries were reported.

– Brittany Gorman, 21, of Grove City, advised she was backing out of a parking space on London Road and struck a parked vehicle owned by Tara Rawlins of Orient. No injuries were reported.

– Parris V. Cofer Jr., 38, of Columbus, was arrested on a warrant issued from the Circleville Municipal Court for failure to appear on the original charge of receiving stolen property.

August 14

– A resident in the 10100 block of U.S. Route 62, Orient, reported an unknown person threw a rock through his window at his residence and punctured all four tires on his vehicle. A report was taken on criminal damaging.

– An employee at Greenlawn RV, 1390 state Route 762, Lockbourne, reported an unknown person removed 16 spare tires from campers on the property. A report was taken on breaking and entering.

– A resident in the 11000 block of Yankeetown Pike, Williamsport, reported someone damaged his mailbox. A report was taken on a criminal damaging.

– A deputy took a report on criminal damaging in the 12000 block of Yankeetown Pike, after six different addresses is the area reported damage to mailboxes.

– A resident in the 200 block of South Court Street reported he mailed a rifle to a location and it was never received. A report was taken on theft.

– Aaron D. Hannah, 37, of Latham, was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of heroin and an open container following a traffic stop on U.S. Route 23 near Huston Street. Johnathon W. Sperlow, 32, of Peebles, also was arrested for possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and open container.

– Brittany N. Chambers, 20, of Columbus, was arrested in the 9300 block of Beavers Road, Orient for possession of drug abuse instruments.

– A deputy responded to a complaint on persons and property in the 12000 block of Darby Creek Road, Orient.

– A deputy responded to reports of an illegal burn in the 8000 block of Harrisburg Road, Harrisburg.

– An unknown vehicle struck a guardrail on Lockbourne Eastern Road and South Bloomfield Royalton Road, and the driver fled the scene. A report was taken on a hit-skip accident.

– Alice Neal, 78, of Amanda, was backing out of a parking space at Walmart and backed into a vehicle owned by David Schein, 68, of Circleville.

– Bethany Sayre, 24, of Circleville, advised when she returned to her vehicle in the Walmart parking lot, she found a dent in the right side. A report was taken on a property damage hit-skip.

– Hanna Wallace, 18, of Orient, advised she was backing out of a parking space at Westfall High School and backed into a vehicle driven by Tracy Garrett, 42, of Williamsport.

August 15

– A resident in the 20000 block of London Road reported receiving a call from someone stating he was from the IRS and that she owed money to them. She realized it was a scam and did not send money. A report was taken on an attempted theft.

– David A. Marshall, 26, of Hillsboro, was arrested for possession of heroin and possession of drug abuse instruments on Canal Road.

– A resident in the 17200 block of Cromley Road, Ashville reported an unknown person stole an animal trap from his yard. A report was taken on theft.

– Michael Bowers, 36, of Circleville, was arrested for menacing by stalking in the 12700 block of U.S. Route 62, Orient, after a caller reported receiving threatening phone calls from a known suspect.

– A deputy responded to reports of an unruly juvenile in the 14400 block of state Route 104, Ashville.

– A deputy responded to a complaint on persons on U.S. Route 23 North, Circleville. A traffic stop was made and subjects were arrested on active warrants. The vehicle was impounded. Officer Anderson from Circleville PD assisted in the traffic stop.

– Daniel Richards, 41, of Leesburg, advised he was traveling eastbound on state Route 104 when a vehicle traveling westbound lost a piece of a 4×4 post, shattering his windshield. No injuries were reported.

– Jack Costlow, 68, of Circleville, advised he was exiting a driveway on Little Walnut Road and struck a vehicle driven by Curtis Moore, 26, of Amanda. Subjects were treated for injuries.

– Adam Uxley, 22, of Pickerington, advised he was traveling northbound on Darby Creek Road when a vehicle in front of him suddenly stopped, causing his brakes to lock up and flipping the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

– Paul Rine, 68, of Circleville, was traveling southbound on Kingston Pike when he ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole.

– David Miller, 64, of Mt. Sterling, advised he lost control of his motorcycle in a curve on state Route 762, striking a ditch. Subjects were treated for injuries.

– Noah D. Thompson was arrested for failure to appear on the original charge of menacing.

– Timothy A. Pryce was arrested for a violation of probation for the original charge of attempted possession of drugs.

August 16

– Patricia D. McGeehan, 31, of Commercial Point, was arrested for assault on Front Street in Commercial Point after reports of a fight.

– Deputies responded to reports of a juvenile party with alcohol in the 2800 block of Old Duvall Court, Lockbourne. All juveniles were released to their parents or other individuals.

– Deputies responded to reports of telephone harassment in the 7500 block of Scioto Darby Road. No charges were filed.

– Deputies responded to reports of an assault in the 9100 block of Water Street, Orient. No injuries were reported, and no charges were filed.

– A resident in the 10600 block of state Route 762, Lockbourne, reported an unknown suspect stole her purse from on top of her vehicle. A report was taken on theft.

– A deputy responded to a domestic dispute in the 9900 block of U.S. Route 62, Orient.

– A deputy responded to a complaint on a person in the 100 block of South Harrison Street, Tarlton.

– A deputy responded to reports of found property on Walnut Creek Pike, Circleville. The owner could not be located.

– A deputy responded on an emergency squad run in the 7300 block of Warner Huffer Road, Circleville. The subject was transported to the hospital by Saltcreek squad.

– A deputy responded to a domestic dispute in the 200 block of Crites Road, Circleville.

– Thien Ly, 29, of Columbus, advised she had an equipment failure on Rickenbacker Parkway, causing her to lose control of her motorcycle. She was treated for injuries.

– Willard T. Carrel was arrested for the original charge of assault.

– Billy J. Phillips was arrested for failure to appear on the original charge of possession of drugs.

– Brice A. Bailey was arrested for a violation of probation for the original charge of possession of heroin.

August 17

– A resident in the 6200 block of Blue Belle Lane, Orient, reported several items are were taken from her bedroom. A report was taken on theft.

– An employee at Greenlawn Home Center, 1390 state Route 762 East, Lockbourne, reported unknown suspects took several spare tire covers off of the campers. A report was taken on theft.

– A caller from Pettit’s at 107 Mill St., Williamsport, reported she had an employee observe a suspect taking food items. A report was taken on theft.

– An employee at Walmart on South Court Street reported observing a known suspect leaving without paying for items. Charges are pending.

– A resident in the 9100 block of Drum Place, Orient, reported a known person took several items from her residence. A report was taken on breaking and entering.

– A deputy responded to reports of a suspicious person on Mckinley Court, Circleville. Contact was made with the homeowner.

– A caller reported a dog inside a vehicle in the 1400 block of South Court Street, Circleville. Contact was made with the owner.

– A deputy responded to reports of found property at 151 E. Franklin Street, Circleville. The property was taken to the Sheriff’s Office and was picked up by the property owner.

– A deputy responded to a domestic dispute in the 9000 block of Welch Road, Orient.

– A deputy responded to a complaint on persons in the 9000 block of Boyd Road, Orient. Some subjects left prior to the deputy’s arrival. The other parties involved were found to check OK.

– Joshua Wiechert, 23, of Circleville, was cited for improper passing when he sideswiped a vehicle on Walnut Creek Pike driven by Mohammad Ansar, 45, of Circleville. Subjects were treated for injuries.

– McKenzie R. Beaver was arrested for contempt of court for the original charge of two counts of nonsupport of dependents.

– Jasmine M. Sullivan was arrested for failure to appear on the original charge of possession of drug instruments.

August 18

– A deputy responded to suspicious activity in the 300 block of Adrien Court, Commercial Point.
