He was born on Jan. 21, 1949, to Edwin and Kathryn Arbogast of Mt. Sterling.

Joe was co-owner of The Ohio Willow Wood Company with lifelong involvement in its operation. He was the holder of multiple US patents, many of which were in the prosthetic industry. He also created Foundaway, a company that specialized in unique solutions to everyday problems.

He served in the US Army and was a devout Christian who truly loved the Lord and all that he created.

He will also be deeply missed by his loving friends, Tony and Patti Griffith, and their children, who knew him as “Papa Joe.” Also, to cherish fond memories of Joe are his numerous nieces, nephews and their families. And a heartfelt “thank you” is extended to his special friends, Hunter, Dylan and Riley.

Friends and family may attend graveside services at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling.

“If a man’s intelligence is defined by his accomplishments, he is among the most intelligent of all men. If a man’s regard by others is defined by his friendships, he is among the most highly regarded of all men. If a man’s ability to love is defined by his compassion, he is among the most loving of all men. If a man’s greatness is defined by his generosity, he is among the greatest of all men.”

We will all miss Joe Arbogast.
