August 10

– A 911 caller reported a fight involving six or seven people in the 100 block of Francene Court. Several juveniles were located, and one was checked for a facial injury in the 100 block of Barry Drive. A report was taken on disorderly conduct.

– An employee at Berger Hospital emergency room reported an 18-year-old female came into the ER intoxicated and with an arm injury. The caller advised the female stated she put her arm through the neighbor’s garage door window, causing the injury. A report was taken on underage alcohol.

– Bradley Beatty was arrested for disorderly conduct after a 911 caller reported a male with a bicycle lying in the roadway in the 200 block of West Main Street, and the caller believed the male was bleeding from the face. The male was transported to Berger Hospital for treatment.

– Jesse I. Virgin was arrested on an outstanding warrant after a caller reported hearing a fight inside a residence in the 200 block of Evergreen Avenue. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– A resident in the 200 block of Pearl Alley reported someone was knocking on doors of homes in the area. The incidents occurred throughout the evening and were not active at the time of the 911 call. Extra patrol was requested.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident at Main and Scioto streets.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at the post office on South Court Street. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 100 block of Francene Court reported a missing juvenile who had run away several hours before. The officer advised the juvenile was out back the whole time, and the scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 200 block of Watt Street. The scene checked OK.

– An employee from the Pickaway County Health Department requested an officer stand-by while serving a nuisance letter in the 300 block of Clinton Street. The notice was served.

– A property owner requested an officer stand-by while they picked up trash at the rear of a rental property in the 300 block of East Mound Street. The stand-by was complete, and the owner was advised to call if he had issues and what a stand-by is actually for.

– A 911 caller reported having problems with her boyfriend in the 500 block of East Ohio Street. The male left for work, and a report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– An employee from Coughlin Automotive reported a dealer tag was stolen from the business. The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office was advised, as the theft occurred in the Walmart parking lot.

– A resident in the 500 block of East Union Street reported someone struck his parked vehicle. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 200 block of Town Street reported her garage windows had been broken. Information was obtained for a supplemental report.

– A caller reported an elderly female who appeared confused was walking northbound on Clinton Street. The female’s spouse was trying to catch up to her but could not. Officers located the female in the 400 block of East Union Street, and she was returned safely home.

– A caller reported a young juvenile kept riding his bicycle through the area where crews were working on a pipeline. The juvenile was located and advised to stay out of the construction area on Half Avenue.

– A Crooksville resident came to the police station to report his vehicle was supposed to be left in town but was not, and that the person with possession of it was using it without permission. A report was taken, and the vehicle was listed in the LEADS system.

– An employee from R&R Pipeline requested extra patrol in the area of Long Street due to people messing around the equipment in the area, and someone had defecated in the cab of the front loader the night before. They requested anyone discovered in the area between 5:30 p.m. and 7 a.m. should be charged with criminal damaging. Information was obtained.

– A resident in the 200 block of Plum Street reported her father was at the home causing problems. A report was taken on a domestic dispute. While on the call, officers noticed a large amount of trash in the yard, and the resident was advised to have it cleaned up by Thursday.

– A resident in the 400 block of Lancaster Pike reported receiving threatening phone calls from a company in New York. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 400 block of Stella Avenue reported the neighbor’s son assaulted her children. No report was taken.

– A resident in the 100 block of Villa Drive reported he believed someone put unknown fluids in his gas tank, causing it to break down. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 100 block of Reber Avenue reported he and his wife were in a verbal altercation, and his wife grabbed him a couple of times. She then left the residence with their son. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– Duane E. Speakman Jr., Sasha L. Folmar, Carolyn N. Delong, Ginger L. Crabtree, Dymond J. Francisco and Nancy E. Crabtree were arrested for aggravated rioting on Ray Avenue after a caller reported an altercation between neighbors in the area and a woman standing in the roadway with a baseball bat.

– A caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the lot of a business in the 300 block of Walnut Street. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office was requested as mutual aid to check a 911 hang-up call in the 400 block of Watt Street in which the dispatcher advised a female answered the call-back and seemed afraid to talk, saying she wasn’t sure if she needed help.

– Officers responded to three 911 hang-up calls from the Holiday Inn Express on U.S. Route 23. The scene checked OK, and someone was working on the alarm system, which was causing the 911 calls. Dispatchers later received five back-to-back 911 hang-up calls as the work continued.
