John C. Crisp

John Christopher Crisp, 63, of Chillicothe, died 12:13 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born Dec. 22, 1951, in Ross County, to the late Sanford and Pauline Cahill Crisp.

Surviving are children, Angie K. (Jeff) Hopper, Patrick C. Crisp and Alexandra D. Crisp, all of Chillicothe, and Amanda K. Crisp of Laurelville; 12 grandchildren; sisters, Maryellen Young of Dayton, Frances (Tim) Copper of Newark and Maureen (Sean) Immell of Chillicothe; brothers, Sanford (Ellen) Crisp, Tony (Brenda) Crisp and Patrick (Sheila) Crisp, all of Chillicothe, and Toby (Lisa) Crisp of Wauchula, Florida; a special cousin, Guy (Sue) McCorkle of Chillicothe; and several nieces, nephews and long-time friends.

He was predeceased by a brother, Jacob Crisp.

Christopher was the retired owner and operator of the former Residential Concrete Company. He enjoyed and was very proud of being a past member and serving as past president of the Lighthouse Twelve Step Inc.

A graveside service will be held 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, in Winchell Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Ware Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
