July 31

– A resident in the 100 block of 4th Avenue reported someone had stolen her lawn mower. A report was taken on theft.

– A male subject entered as a missing person by the Perry County Sheriff’s Office was returned to his parent after a caller reported he was sitting at a gas pump at Speedway on Lancaster Pike for about 15 minutes and appeared to be drunk. A report was taken on miscellaneous.

– A resident in the 400 block of East Union Street reported her roommate hadn’t been seen since the previous morning, and she was concerned due to health issues. Officers advised the male had been treated and released from Berger, and the resident called later to report he had returned home.

– A 911 caller reported she saw two male subjects in the back of her neighbor’s van in the 100 block of Fairview Blvd. The caller said when he drove by, the subjects ducked down inside the back. Officers were unable to make contact with the vehicle’s owner but left a door hanger. The van was secured, and nothing appeared to be missing.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at the South Court Car Wash. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 400 block of South Washington Street requested extra patrol after reporting a known female subject kept driving by the residence and harassing his wife. All units were advised.

– A maintenance worker at Elsea’s Mobile Village on North Court Street reported finding a syringe in the playground area. Officers disposed of the item.

– An employee at Metropolitan Housing Authority on Rustic Drive requested extra patrol due to a large number of people at the location to apply for Section 8. Information was obtained.

– A resident came to the police station to request an officer stand-by to retrieve some belongings at the Now and Then Shop on North Court Street. The other party was not present, and the stand-by was complete. The caller later reported the owner had returned to the business, and they were arguing. Everyone agreed they could retrieve their property after business hours.

– An employee of UDF on East Main Street reported a drive-off by suspects who did not pay for a fuel purchase.

– A resident in the 500 block of Spring Hollow Road reported a neighbor had taken yard sale signs off a pole at the corner. The officer made contact with the subject, and all were advised of city ordinance regarding posting signs on city property.

– A resident in the 300 block of John Street reported the neighbor’s dog in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue had been barking non-stop. The scene checked OK, and all parties were advised.

– A resident in the 300 block of South Western Avenue reported the theft of an extension ladder. A report was taken on theft.

– The Circle Area Humane Society requested an officer stand-by to serve a notice on a resident in the 400 block of Faye Avenue. The stand-by was completed without incident.

– An employee at Homeland Credit Union entered a telephone report of fraud. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 300 block of Lewis Road reported someone was using his credit card without permission. The caller was advised it was a civil issue. No report was taken.

– A caller reported her purse was stolen from her car at the Savings Bank on North Court Street. Officers advised the theft actually occurred in the 300 block of South Scioto Street. A report was taken.

– An employee at Goodwill on U.S. Route 23 reported a male and female were physically fighting outside the store. Officers located the subjects, who advised it was just horseplay. The scene checked OK.

– A Williamsport resident came to the police station to report her vehicle had been struck in the parking lot at Kroger on Lancaster Pike, and the other vehicle left the scene. A report was taken on a property damage hit-skip.

– A resident in the 900 block of South Court Street reported a known male subject was at the location and had a no-trespass order against him. No one answered the door, and officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A caller requested an officer stand-by in the 100 block of Walnut Street but then called back to postpone the service.

– An Amanda resident reported his tie-rod broke on his car at Speedway on Lancaster Pike and was causing traffic back-up. The caller was transferred to Fletcher’s, and the roadway was cleared.

– A caller reported a syringe was found in the 200 block of Evergreen Avenue in Elsea’s Mobile Village. Officers disposed of the item.

– Dawn R. Morrow was arrested for assault in the 1200 block of Norfolk Avenue after a caller reported a fight in the area. A male was transported to the hospital with a head injury.

– A Chillicothe resident reported he had a minor fender-bender in the parking lot at Taco Bell on U.S. Route 23 and exchanged information with the other driver. He took a picture of the other vehicle and noticed the license plates were expired, and he also believed the other driver may have been under the influence of something. Information was obtained.

– A resident in the 400 block of Stella Avenue reported he had found another burnt piece of paper on his porch and would like to speak with an officer about it. A report was taken.

– A resident came to the police station to report he was still receiving harassing phone calls. The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office filed a similar report the previous day on the incident, and he was referred to the sheriff’s office for follow-up.

– An unknown subject called 911 to report his girlfriend would not give him their daughter unless he gave her money, and then was telling the female to quit hitting him before the call disconnected. Officers were unable to reestablish contact with the caller, and no address could be found for the call. The officer in charge was advised.

– A 911 caller reported an accident at U.S. Route 22 East and Bolender Pontious Road. The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office was advised.

– An employee at PDI on Lancaster Pike reported seeing a suspicious female in a vehicle pull onto the lot. Officers were unable to locate the subject, and extra patrol was requested. The manager also advised he would pursue charges on any trespassers.

– A resident in the 100 block of Rustic Drive reported juveniles riding their bikes in the roadway at Rustic Drive and Pontious Lane. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A resident in the 600 block of Plaza Drive reported his wife was involved in an auto accident on Scioto Street and exchanged information with the other driver. Now the people involved are threatening them by phone. Officers determined no threats were made. No report was taken.

– A resident in the 200 block of Logan Street reported his 12-year-old son had not been home most of the day. Officers located the juvenile, and no report was taken.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Fast Freeze on Edison Avenue. The scene checked OK.

– Officers performed a well-being check in the 100 block of Dunmore Road. The subject checked OK.

– Donald R. Jenkins Jr. of Columbus was arrested following a traffic stop at Duke and Duchess on East Main Street after officers discovered he had a warrant out of Florida with nationwide pick-up for felony battery.

– A caller reported a vehicle driving recklessly on West Main Street eastbound from U.S. Route 23. Officers located the vehicle parked in the area of Brown Memorial Home but were unable to locate the driver.

August 1

– A resident in the 400 block of Clinton Street reported a known male subject just pushed the air conditioner through the window and yelled at her before taking off running. A report was taken on criminal mischief.

– A caller reported a heated argument between a male and female in the area of South Scioto and Corwin streets. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A caller reported she had just taken the keys out of the ignition of a vehicle in the area of South Scioto and West Main Street with two males passed out inside. The males were given a ride home by a sober individual. No report was taken.

– James A. Courtney was arrested for domestic violence in the 300 block of Walnut Street after a caller reported a domestic disturbance at the residence. Officers requested a medic for a male with altered mental status and injuries from a knife, but he was not transported.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Health Care Logistics on Town Street. The scene checked OK.

– An officer on special duty was advised of glass in the roadway in the 400 block of Nicholas Drive. A message was left for the supervisor at the city service department.

– A caller reported a theft from the Budget Host Inn on U.S. Route 23. A report was taken.

– A caller from the Budget Host Inn reported a vehicle was leaving the business and struck several items and was now resting on top of a fire hydrant. The registered owner of the vehicle said the driver was using the car without permission, but she did not want to pursue charges. A report was taken on unauthorized use, and the driver was issued a citation.

– Officers performed a well-being check on a female in Apple Ridge Apartments on Lancaster Pike after a caller advised the female was lying on the ground, and a male was picking her up. Officers made contact with the female, who advised she slipped off the porch and rolled her ankle. The scene checked OK.

– A 911 caller reported he picked up a female near the Budget Host Inn on U.S. Route 23 who told him she had been involved in a crash and may have warrants. He stated he dropped her off on Norfolk Avenue. Information was obtained, and the case officer will follow up.

– Officers performed a well-being check at Kwik Stop Sunoco on West Main Street after a caller reported the lights were on inside the business but the doors were locked. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 200 block of Huston Street reported she had a hand injury from a dog bite. She was transported to the hospital by Circleville medics, and a report was taken.

– A resident in the 300 block of South Washington Street reported a theft. A report was taken.

– Julie Leach was arrested at McDonald’s on a warrant for failure to appear on drug charges. A report was taken on a warrant arrest and drug possession.

– Officers performed a stand-by at the Budget Host Inn on U.S. Route 23 as a room was vacated. A report was taken on found drug paraphernalia.

– An Ashville Police officer requested officers to make contact with a female in Apple Ridge Apartments on Lancaster Pike regarding a vehicle that was parked in the village. The message was delivered.

– Officers responded to reports of an open door in the 900 block of Clinton Street. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to an injury accident in the area of Logan and South Pickaway streets.

– A 911 caller reported he was involved in a fight in the 300 block of North Court Street and would like to speak with an officer. A report was taken on disorderly conduct.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Pickaway-Ross Career Center on East Mound Street. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 500 block of North Pickaway Street reported her 17-year-old daughter had been missing since 10 p.m. the night before. The juvenile was entered into the LEADS system, and a report was taken.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Fast Freeze on Edison Avenue. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 200 block of Villa Drive reported a domestic dispute in which threats were made to come back with more people. Officers determined no threats were made, and a report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– Officers performed a well-being check in the 100 block of Dunmore Road. The subject checked OK.

– Clark Stevens, 33, was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 400 block of East Mound Street after an officer marked out with three subjects at that location.

– A resident in the 200 block of Timberline Drive called 911 to request an officer stand-by at the location. The stand-by was canceled, and the caller was advised of the proper use of 911.

– Extra patrol was requested in the 100 block of Pontious Lane.

– A caller reported a controlled burn almost every night this week in the area of Starkey Drive. The fire department checked the scene, and everything checked OK.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Fast Freeze on Edison Avenue. The scene checked OK, and a message was left on voice mail regarding the false alarm issue.

– A resident in the 200 block of Logan Street reported her child’s father came to pick up the child, jumped out of the vehicle, threatened her and then drove off. The caller was not at the residence when officers arrived, and a family member was advised it was a civil issue.

– Dimitri Hutchison of Laurelville was arrested following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Town Street on a warrant from Ross County for failure to appear. The vehicle was impounded, and the subject was transported to the county line for custody exchange.

– A resident in the 100 block of York Street reported hearing someone shooting a handgun and shotgun in the area of York and North Scioto streets, and it sounded like buckshot was hitting the bushes nearby. Officers were unable to locate anyone in the area.

– A resident in the 500 block of East Union Street reported it smelled like her house was on fire. The fire department handled the scene. The breaker was shut off, and the caller was advised to contact AEP.

– A caller reported she came out of Carnival Foods and discovered two known subjects had stolen money off the dashboard of her vehicle. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 100 block of York Street reported his juvenile daughter that had been reported missing had returned home. The juvenile was removed from the LEADS system.
