Jeanann Adams

Jeanann (Speakman) Adams, 73, of Chillicothe, went to be with our Lord on Aug. 1, 2015, in her home surrounded by family.

Jeanann was born on April 20, 1942, the daughter of James and Bernice (Gilpen) Speakman.

She married Charles E. Adams on Jan. 31, 1959.

Jeanann was predeceased by her parents; husband; son, Charles Allan Adams: infant daughters, Deeann and Kandy Adams; son-in-law, Mark Alan Graham; brother, Al Speakman; and three infant siblings.

Jeanann is survived by her daughter, Nancy Graham; five grandchildren, Cassie (Roger) Rutherford, Amanda Adams, Nick “Captain” (Andrea) Graham, Tyler “Captain” Adams and Danielle “Muffins” Graham; five great-grandchildren, Victoria, Mackayla, Caitlin, Allena and Tyson; daughter-in-law, Margaret Adams; two siblings, Mary Parker and Frank (Lou) Speakman; sister-in-law, Virginia Speakman; several special nieces and nephews; and beloved boxer, Luke.

Jeanann had a passion for the outdoors including gardening and growing beautiful flowers. She also adored her grandchildren with whom she created invaluable memories over the years including hosting large family meals, decorating cakes for their special occasions, and giving them special nicknames featured above.

Jeanann also shared her devotion to the Lord with her family and friends. Having finished the race, Jeanann always kept her faith.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston, with Pastor Shaun Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hill’s.
