DARBYVILLE – One man is dead and another is being questioned after a shooting on Main Street in Darbyville on Monday evening.

According to Sheriff Robert Radcliff, investigators are trying to determine if the shooting was a homicide before any charges are filed.

Radcliff said the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about 7:40 p.m. Monday about the shooting inside the residence at 16814 Main St.

The victim’s name has not yet been released, but Radcliff said he is a male in his 50s. The man being questioned Monday night is in his early 20s, he said, and resided in the home.

Pickaway County detectives and agents from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) remained at the home late Monday night processing the scene.

More details will be published as they become available.
