Teays Valley East Middle School recently received a $500 grant from the Teays Valley Educational Foundation to support the Power of the Pen Tournament the school is hosting on Saturday.

“Power of the Pen would like to thank the Teays Valley Educational Foundation for their support of the Power of the Pen program,” said Kim Manson, Power of the Pen adviser and teacher at Teays Valley East. “The foundation is supporting aspiring writers, not only in our district, but throughout central Ohio.”

Manson said the funds will be used to help fund team fees, trophies, supplies and food for volunteers on the day of the tournament.

“Thank you again for all the support that the Foundation gives to students and staff throughout the Teays Valley School District,” she said.
