James Ernest Osborne Sr., 88, of Circleville, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015.

He was born on Nov. 17, 1926, in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, to Zephy and Stella (Bocook) Osborne.

He was a World War II Navy veteran and attended Thomas R. Brown High School. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Pickaway Lodge #23 F&AM, BPOE Catlettsburg, Kentucky, American Legion, VFW, AMVETS, Eastern Star, past president of Shrine and ambassador of Aladdin Shrine.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, James Osborne Jr. in 2009; sister, Pauline Wellman; and brother, Paul Osborne.

James is survived by his wife, Billie Jean (Ward) Osborne; daughter-in-law, Pam Osborne; two grandsons, Justin (Natasha) Osborne and James E. Osborne III; five great-grandchildren, J.T., Katelyn, Jared, Jackson and Anna; sister, Charalene (Larry) Hatten; and by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with Pastor Billy Barbo officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
