May 11

– Steven L. Brungs was arrested for domestic violence in the 200 block of Logan Street.

– A resident in the 100 block of Town Street reported a neighbor’s vehicle had been parked in front of her residence with the alarm going off for the past 20 minutes. Officers discovered damage to the vehicle, but the owner was located and advised it was old damage. He was advised of the noise complaint.

– A resident in the 100 block of East Franklin Street reported loud music in the area that was keeping her child awake. The officer located the source of the music at Tootle’s, where the stereo had been left on to the outside patio. Contact was made with the keyholder, and the juke box was turned off.

– A resident in the 300 block of Sycamore Drive reported her vehicle had been ransacked overnight.

– A resident in the 200 block of Cedar Heights Road reported her vehicle had been ransacked overnight.

– A resident in the 400 block of Shagbark Street reported his vehicle was ransacked overnight.

– A resident in the 1000 block of Lynwood Avenue reported his vehicle had been ransacked overnight and money was missing from the center console. A report was taken on theft.

– A caller from US Bank on East Main Street reported a suspicious male had been in the bank on May 8 demanding money from the teller wrapped in Federal Reserve straps. A report was taken on a suspicious person.

– A resident in the 100 block of Hayward Street reported her rental property had been broken into overnight. A report was taken on criminal damaging.

– A caller advised she had video surveillance of two males walking up to her house overnight but her dogs scared them away. She said her neighbor told her of three vehicles also broken into overnight on Hillcrest Drive. Information was obtained.

– A resident in the 300 block of Sycamore Drive reported his vehicle was ransacked overnight and his GPS was stolen. A report was taken on theft.

– A caller reported her daughter had been in a traffic accident with another vehicle on Watt Street but did not contact police because the other driver stated he did not have insurance or a license on him. The officer advised the owner declined a report at this time, and the vehicle had minor damage.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 100 block of West Water Street. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported a fight at the intersection of South Pickaway and East Corwin streets. Officers were unable to locate the subject, and the victims declined medical treatment. A report was taken on assault.

– Officers performed a stand-by in the 200 block of Logan Street. The stand-by was completed without incident.

– A resident in the 200 block of Logan Street reported her sister-in-law came to the residence and stole her dog, then threatened her. A report was taken on domestic menacing.

– An employee at Tractor Supply on U.S. Route 23 reported two subjects stole a pair of boots from the store and drove away. A report was taken on theft.

– Officers were requested as mutual aid for a home on Smith Hulse Road outside the city reportedly struck by lightning. The fire department was canceled several minutes later.

– A resident in the 100 block of Town Street reported someone damaged her property. Officers determined it may have been weather-related damage.

– A resident in the 100 block of Logan Street reported a vicious pit bull in her yard and advised it had bitten people in the past. The dog warden was notified and would follow up with the dog’s owners.

– Officers responded to a 911 call with screaming in the background in the 100 block of Hayward Street. Officers advised a juvenile had dialed 911 and was playing and wrestling around.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 1000 block of Ridge Drive. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported a known male subject came to the store at 175 Lancaster Pike and reported another male said to have someone call the police for an unknown reason. The other male was contacted and advised he never requested police. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 100 block of 4th Avenue reported her husband was refusing to let her leave and was making threats. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– A resident in the 100 block of West Water Street reported someone attempted to break into her home. The residence was locked and secure and showed no signs of entry. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported two suspicious males by the Apothecary who had been in and out of the Dollar General and Speedway in the area and were possibly attempting to break into the pharmacy. Officers were unable to locate the known subjects, and the scene checked OK.

– A 911 caller reported an active dispute involving a juvenile in the 300 block of Walnut Street, and a second 911 caller reported another group was charging their house. The caller also requested a squad for injuries. Subjects refused treatment at the scene, and a report was taken on disorderly conduct.

– Officers impounded a vehicle with expired tags following a traffic stop in the 600 block of South Court Street.

May 12

– An anonymous caller reported a known male subject was in the Duke and Duchess store advising of a theft, but he was not sure what was actually going on. A medic was dispatched, and the male was transported back to his residence.

– Officers responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of Westwood Drive. The subjects in the vehicle checked OK.

– A resident came to the police station to report a suspicious male digging through the dumpster at Fifth Third Bank. Officers made contact with the subject, who advised he was looking for cans. The subject checked OK.

– Extra patrol was requested in the 200 block of Logan Street due to an ongoing domestic dispute.

– A caller reported a known male subject was speeding on South Washington Street and had no valid driver’s license. A citation was issued to the driver, and the vehicle was released to a valid driver.

– A caller reported a family of geese in the roadway in the area of East Ohio Street and Kingston Pike. Officers advised the geese checked OK.

– A resident in the 100 block of Cottage Hill Lane requested officers to document that she advised her husband to make no further contact with her through phone or text messages.

– A resident in the 300 block of East Franklin Street reported a Rumpke trash container was missing from his driveway. A report was taken on theft.

– The school resource officer requested a report for disorderly conduct at Circleville Middle School on Clark Drive.

– A caller reported a utility line down in the alley near the 300 block of East Franklin Street. Officers advised it was a Time Warner line, and it was removed from the roadway.

– A caller reported she was en route to the 100 block of Harrison Street to confront a female about a confrontation that happened on Lancaster Pike. A report was taken on disorderly conduct.

– A 911 caller reported a male yelling at a female in the parking lot at McDonald’s and then following her when she left the lot. Following a traffic stop, the female advised she cut the male driver off and he was upset with her.

– A resident in the 200 block of East Mill Street reported 16 of his prescription pills were stolen. The officer advised it was not his prescription, and no report was taken.

– A caller reported a vehicle lost its load while turning at Half Avenue and Clinton Street, and a table fell off striking a work van. A report was taken on a property damage hit-skip.

– A resident in the 200 block of Lewis Road reported his bicycle was stolen.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Pickaway Medical Group on North Court Street. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the 100 block of West Main Street.

– Officers responded to a residential panic alarm in the 100 block of West Water Street. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 300 block of South Scioto Street requested an officer regarding items that had been stolen from him. The officer advised the items were returned.

– A caller reported a male came to her daughter’s door in the 400 block of Watt Street claiming to be from the gas company and concerned her daughter. The male was located and advised to obtain proper documentation.

– Officers responded to reports of loud music in the 100 block of Villa Drive. The resident was advised to keep the music down.

– Officers responded to reports of a suspicious male walking down the sidewalk in the area of Washington and High streets looking into cars. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– Jesse J. Campfield was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant in the 1000 block of South Washington Street following a foot pursuit. A report was taken on obstruction.

– An anonymous caller reported a male and female causing a disturbance in the 100 block of Villa Drive. Officers were unable to locate the parties.

– Officers located a vehicle at the north entrance to Elsea’s trailer park and confirmed it was a stolen vehicle. A report was taken on a recovered vehicle.

– A resident in the 400 block of South Pickaway Street reported someone egged her residence. Officers advised the egg was broken on the sidewalk, not on the residence. Extra patrol was requested.

– A 911 caller reported a male with a hand injury was bleeding profusely in the 200 block of West Mound Street. The male was transported to Berger Hospital, and a report was taken on a domestic dispute.

May 13

– A resident in the 100 block of Margaret Lane reported he believed his child was given narcotics by an adult who supposedly gave him a vitamin, but the child’s behavior led him to believe it was something else. The officer advised the child may have ingested something on Friday and the caller was just now reporting the incident. A squad was requested, and no report was taken.

– Jacob Conner was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication at the Circleville Fire Department after a 911 caller requested assistance regarding a chemical.

– A 911 caller reported she was assaulted by a known male subject and that he stole her purse in the area of South Scioto and Huston streets. Officer advised the caller did not want to pursue charges. A report was taken on assault.

– A caller reported a bicycle propped up against a pole in the area of North Court and Walnut Creek Pike with no one around it. A report was taken on found property.

– A resident in the 300 block of East Mill Street reported he was being threatened. A report was taken on menacing.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at The Savings Bank on North Court Street. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 100 block of Logan Street reported the theft of her child’s medication. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 1200 block of Eastwood Drive reported her neighbor’s son had been advised to stay off the property but continues to try and gain entry to her yard and swimming pool, and she is concerned for his safety around the pool. A report was taken on child endangering.

– The fire department responded to an active fire alarm in the 1300 block of Bristol Court.

– An officer traveled to the Marathon gas station on South High Street in Columbus to meeting with the Pickerington Police Department for the transfer of custody on Gary K. Callahan on a Circleville warrant.

– A 911 caller reported a property damage accident in the parking lot at Peeble’s on U.S. Route 23. Both parties exchanged information.

– Officers responded to reports of a smoke alarm in the 100 block of Town Street, but the call was canceled by the alarm company.

– A caller from Virginia reported receiving a possible scam call from a Circleville phone number. Information was obtained.

– Officers responded to an activated smoke alarm in the 200 block of Clark Drive. It was determined to be a false alarm.

– Extra patrol was requested in the 100 block of Gale Court after a caller advised a resident who had been evicted was trying to gain access to the property.

– Michael Branham was arrested for OVI following a traffic stop in the area of South Washington and Town streets.

– A caller advised she was not home but was told her estranged husband was trying to enter her home on Tower Court through a back window. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 100 block of North Pickaway Street reported receiving several calls involving an IRS scam.

– A caller reported a golf cart driving around Barthelmas Park with a small child on the back who was not properly restrained. Officers were advised to be on the lookout, but there is nothing in the city ordinance about child restraints.

– Officers responded to reports of a disabled vehicle in the 400 block of Lancaster Pike.

– Officers responded to reports of juveniles in the roadway on East Franklin Street yelling at cars and not moving out of the way for traffic. The juveniles were notified, and the parents would deal with the issue.

– A 911 caller reported a fire in the men’s restroom at Main Street Pub. The caller was advised to get everyone out of the building as the fire department was en route. The situation was contained in about 10 minutes.

– James R. Johnson was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication in the 100 block of South Western Avenue.

– A caller in the 100 block of Rustic Drive reported a neighbor’s 8-year-old daughter keeps going next door and cursing the caller when she walks past. The mother was advised and will try to keep her away from the caller.

– Extra patrol was requested in the 300 block of East Mill Street after a caller advised of a suspicious vehicle in the area.

– A 911 caller reported he was being followed by a vehicle flashing its lights at him on U.S. Route 23 into town from Chillicothe. When he came to a traffic light, the driver of the other vehicle approached his car, but the light changed and he was able to drive off. No report was taken.
