Phyllis Ann Hawkes, 84, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2017, at Valley View Care Center, Frankfort.

She was born Aug. 15, 1932, in Circleville, the daughter of the late Frank and Mae (Willis) Hawkes.

Phyllis was a 1950 graduate of Circleville High School and a lifelong member of Good Shepherd Church.

She worked at the Department of ASCS office in Circleville and Copco Papers in Columbus.

She enjoyed helping people and was a fan of Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Phyllis also enjoyed the Circleville Pumpkin Show and played in the Circleville High School Band.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dolores J. Carley; and brother-in-law, Woodrow Carley.

She is survived by three brothers, Elliott (Marilyn) Hawkes of Williamsport, Ronald (Audrey) Hawkes of Circleville and Pastor Branson (Melissa) Hawkes of New Albany. Phyllis also leaves behind many loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, close friends and neighbors.

By the request of Phyllis, there will be no calling hours. There will be a private graveside service for the family at their convenience conducted by Rev. Branson Hawkes.

The family would like to thank Valley View Care Center and Heartland Hospice for all the loving care they gave Phyllis.
