Samuel M. Davidson, 82, went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Friday evening, April 28, 2017.

He was born March 7, 1935, in South Point, to the late Wilce and Kyle (Baker) Davidson.

Sam was a retired carpenter, Army veteran and an advocate for the Lord Jesus Christ through his missionary work.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

He is survived by two sons, Jeff (Vicki) Davidson of Dubois, Pennsylvania, and John Davidson of Chillicothe; two daughters, Karen (Steve) Hayes of Chillicothe and Barbara Morse of Ashville; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends.

The family will greet friends from 3 p.m. until time of memorial service at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville, with Matthew Hayes officiating.
