CHILLICOTHE – Registration is underway for the next session in Pickaway-Ross Adult Education’s 2015 Leadership Academy.

Progressive Discipline, taught by Sandy Hinton and Janet Harkins, will meet from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday, May 14, at Pickaway-Ross, 895 Crouse-Chapel Road, Chillicothe.

Progressive discipline applies discipline in steps, with the goal to correct the behavior or offense with the correct amount of discipline.

Participants will learn to apply progressive discipline fairly and consistently; identify laws and policy requirements affecting discipline; conduct effective disciplinary meetings; and document disciplinary actions properly.

“Discipline can be a tricky area, and these skills will provide structured steps to make the process clear and fair for all involved,” Hinton said.

Hinton is a State of Ohio certified adult education instructor with 20 years of experience working in human resources.

Harkins has extensive technical and administrative training experience in a production environment and has worked in purchasing, material flow, project management and supervision.

The cost is $75 per person. Companies that send more than one person will receive a reduced rate of $50 for each additional person.
