Staff Reports

The following cases recently were heard by Judge P. Randall Knece in Pickaway County Common Pleas Court:

– Dustin Case, 35, of state Route 207, Mt. Sterling, pleaded guilty to a violation of community control. He was sentenced to six months in a community-based correctional facility program.

– Roy T. Dempsey III, 29, of Columbus, pleaded not guilty to theft. A pretrial hearing is set for May 12.

– Jeffrey B. Doyle, 29, of Chillicothe, pleaded not guilty to possession of cocaine and possession of heroin. A pretrial hearing is set for May 12.

– Jeffrey J. Frey Jr., 28, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to a violation of community control. He was sentenced to six months in a community-based correctional facility program.

– Ritchie J. Giffin, 21, of Renick Avenue, Circleville, pleaded guilty to trafficking in heroin. He was sentenced to 18 months in state prison.

– Adam D. Kemp, 31, of West Street, South Bloomfield, pleaded guilty to a violation of community control. He was sentenced to the intensive supervision program.

– Wayne A. Miller, 34, an inmate at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville, pleaded not guilty to assault. A pretrial hearing is set for May 12.

– Christopher Sisterman, 37, of West Mound Street, Circleville, pleaded guilty to a violation of community control. He was sentenced to the intensive supervision program.

– Clinton A. Waters, 25, an inmate at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville, pleaded not guilty to possession of a weapon while under detention. A pretrial hearing is set for May 12.
