Richard Vest, 71, of Piketon, died unexpectedly at 11:40 p.m. April 10, 2017, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
He was born March 5, 1946, in Portsmouth.
He is survived by his children, Lisa Evans of Laurelville, Shelly Dewart of Pataskala, Richard E. (Faith) Vest and Brittanie Cline, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Heather, Jeffrey, Bethanie, Megan, Shelby, Brooklynn and Blake; 10 great-grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, Richard E. Vest; and paternal grandmother who raised him, Carebel.
Richard was a retired State of Ohio Physical Therapist.
Funeral service will be held 6 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at the Ware Funeral Home, Chillicothe. Friends and family may call from 3 to 6 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the Ware Funeral Home.
