Vera E. Holland, age 70, passed away on March 19, 2017, surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 8, 1947, to her parents Russell and Marjorie Congrove. She was born and raised in Circleville.
Vera married her elementary school sweetheart, Charles Holland, in August of 1961, and they shared 55 years of wonderful marriage. The two of them were inseparable and did everything together.
Vera worked for Brooks Yates for over a decade and retired from there in 2001.
Vera had a love for all things, and her family was her entire world. She loved cheering on the Logan Elm Braves in basketball, as well as going to car shows. She also enjoyed antiquing.
Vera was a wonderful wife, loving mother and grandmother, and beautiful soul.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Charles; her children, Pam (Teddy) Moats and James (Becky) Holland; her grandchildren, Brock (Charity) Moats, Trey Moats, Christopher Moats, Ashley Holland, Cindy (Trey) Riffle and Dylan Holland; as well as six great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Hunter.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St., Circleville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Jividen officiating.
