The Ohio Christian University Music Department and the Miriam Ruggles Adkins Foundation are happy to present a concert of band music by the Ohio Capital Winds, conducted by Catherine Hope-Cunningham, and the Ohio Christian University Band, conducted by Dr. John Anthony, at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Circleville High School auditorium.

Originally, the concert was to be held outdoors on the lawn in front of the Conley Ministry Center at Ohio Christian University, but because of inclement weather the concert venue has been changed.

The concert repertoire will include marches by Henry Filmore, Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring arranged for band by Alfred Reed, Divinum Mysterium by James Swearingen and more. Featured soloists on the concert will be Dr. John Anthony, trumpet, and Dr. Joel Shonkwiler performing Herbert Clark’s “Cousins” for trumpet, trombone and band.

Admission to the concert is free, and the community is invited to attend.
