Jerome W. Grant, age 86, of Circleville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at Pickaway Manor Nursing Home, Circleville.
He was born March 27, 1930, in Marengo, Indiana, to the late Manford and Opal (Sloan) Grant.
Jerome was a 1948 graduate of Marengo High School, Indiana, and a veteran of the Korean War serving in U.S. Army. He was employed at B.F. Goodrich in Louisville, Kentucky, until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Joyce (Green) Grant, in 2012; and a brother, Norman Grant.
He is survived by daughter, Debra (Jim) Wellman of Circleville; grandsons, Matthew Freeman of South Bend, Indiana, and Levi (Morgan) Freeman of Circleville; a great-grandson, Isaac; brothers, Allen Grant of Indiana and Pat (Julia) Grant of Florida; a sister, Betsy Barton of Indiana; brother-in-law, Bud (Marcella) Green of Wheelersburg; sister-in-law, Betty (Bob) Pierson of Marengo, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerome wished for cremation to take place.
A memorial service officiated by Rev. David Henson will be held at noon on Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, with family receiving friends at 11 a.m. at Circle of Light Worship Center, 2146 N. Court St., Circleville.
