Feb. 5, 2017:

– A caller notified the police department of a disabled trailer at Ace Hardware on North Court Street that would be left on the lot overnight. Information was obtained.

– The Circleville Fire Department was requested as mutual aid on a fully engulfed barn fire on state Route 104.

– A caller in the 200 block of Logan Street advised her wallet came up missing a week ago, and she recently found out a known subject took it but refuses to give it back unless he gives her some money. A report was taken on theft.

– A caller from the Duke and Duchess gas station on East Main Street reported a suspicious male in the store who was walking around talking to himself and making rude comments to her. The subject checked OK but was advised to leave the store.

– A caller in the 600 block of Western Avenue reported a white pickup truck with a male slumped over the steering wheel. The subject checked OK.

– Extra patrol was requested on Avon Drive after a caller reported seeing a male subject running down the sidewalk overnight and a small car driving quickly through the area. The male subject jumped into the car and left the area. After speaking with a neighbor, she was advised someone had been beating on the neighbor’s door about the same time. Information was obtained.

– A caller in the 100 block of North Pickaway Street reported a male subject kept approaching vehicles as they drove up. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– Officers were asked to perform a well-being check on East Ohio Street. The caller then canceled the request after contact was made with the subject.

– A caller advised a suspicious red duffle bag was sitting on the corner at Ohio and Clinton streets, and a young male picked up the bag and struggled with it, as if it was heavy. Officers advised the scene checked OK, and it was a male delivering papers.

– A caller from the Budget Host Inn reported a male subject was in a room, and officers had just been there the night before looking for him on a warrant. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A caller in the 800 block of Clinton Street reported three female juveniles were in the area, and a male in a car began spinning his tires and throwing debris off the roadway onto them. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– Officers were flagged down on a report of a domestic dispute in the 500 block of East Franklin Street. The scene checked OK.

– A caller on East Franklin Street requested to speak with an officer regarding his children who had been caught stealing. The juveniles were advised.

– Officers responded to reports of reckless operation, one on South Pickaway Street and one on East High Street.

– The park manager at Elsea’s Mobile Home Park advised a known subject who had been ordered off the property was at the park and trying to start a fight with her husband. Officers issued a verbal warning about a disturbance at Elsea’s during a traffic stop at Pleasant and Court streets.

– A caller on East High Street reported a male subject had been meeting with various people in the area. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A caller on East Mill Street reported her children informed her they witnessed a male strike a female in front of the residence. Both parties advised there was no assault and no domestic situation.

– A caller advised a suspicious vehicle was parked at Ted Lewis Park, and it appeared to be drug related. The vehicle left prior to the officer’s arrival. The caller was advised on the use of 911, since it was the fourth time he called 911 for suspicious vehicles at the park. The caller stated he was out of minutes on his phone.

– A caller in the 500 block of East Ohio Street reported a jackhammer had been taken from the location. A report was taken on breaking and entering.

– A caller advised of a suspicious vehicle heading northbound on Court Street that had been seen parked with no lights at the Circleville Self Storage facility. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– Officers responded to an injury accident on South Court Street at Union.

– An employee of a business in the 200 block of Lancaster Pike reported someone attempted to break into the store through the front door. A report was taken, and extra patrol was requested.

– A caller advised of a suspicious female walking on North Pickaway Street who appeared to be intoxicated. The officer located the female in front of CVS and transported her to her residence. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Rumke on Island Road. The scene checked OK.

– A caller advised of a disabled vehicle at Kroger on Lancaster Pike, but the caller was not sure if it was actually broken down or if it was a hoax. The vehicle checked OK.

– A 911 caller advised of a vehicle with its lights on parked at Ted Lewis Park. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– A caller at the Twin Oaks apartment complex reported a dog was locked inside a vehicle in the area. Officers advised there was no dog inside the vehicle.

– A caller advised of lights on and an open door at a home that was being renovated on Fairview Blvd. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Rumpke on Island Road.

Feb. 6, 2017:

– A cab driver reported he had brought a male and female from Scioto Downs to a residence on South Western Avenue, and they ran off without paying the cab fare of $40.38. A report was taken on theft.

– A caller advised they let their dogs out and believe they ran off prowlers in the area of Mowrer Road between Edwards and Cedar Heights. Officers advised the scene checked OK.

– A caller in the 200 block of Villa Drive reported possible vandalism of a vehicle. The vehicle checked OK.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Rumpke on Island Road. The scene checked OK.

– A caller in the 1200 block of South Pickaway Street reported a known juvenile keeps hitting her windows and doors at all hours of the day. She advised there are also other children involved, and they are also calling her 15-year-old daughter racial names. Information was obtained.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Cash Max on East Main Street. The scene checked OK.

– A female came to the police station to file a report on harassment. Officers advised there were no threats or harassment involved.

– A caller in the 1000 block of South Washington Street reported theft of a trailer.

– A 911 caller from Rosewood Avenue reported a suspicious vehicle left Ted Lewis Park about an hour before the call. The caller was advised about the use of 911, but he reported he does not have home phone service, and it was all he had.

– Officers responded to an activated panic alarm from a key fob in the 300 block of Northridge Road. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the 100 block of West Main Street.

– An officer marked out on Alma Avenue with the probation department to serve a warrant, but the subject could not be located.

– A 911 caller in the 100 block of Lewis Avenue advised she came home to find a male and female asleep in her bed. Rights were read to the female, an arrest was made and a report was taken.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the 300 block of West Main Street.

– An employee from Speedway on North Court Street reported a suspicious male in the store, possibly under the influence of drugs. The subject checked OK.

– Anthony Hawk was arrested on U.S. Route 23 on a warrant from Ross County. Circleville Police assisted the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.

– An officer marked out with a male subject at Rural King on U.S. Route 23. The officer advised the subject checked OK and was dumpster diving.

– Coyan Cockrell was arrested at the rear of Sutherlands on Lancaster Pike after an officer stopped him as a suspicious person.

– A caller advised of a vehicle with flashers on in the 600 block of East Main Street. Contact was made with the key holder, who advised they were en route.
