Peggy R. McHale, 89, of Amanda, passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, at Homestead Center in Lancaster.

She was born May 15, 1927, in Columbus, to the late Bernard and Ruth (Martin) Cluff.

Peggy attended the Amanda United Methodist Church and was a member of Olivedale Senior Center. She had previously worked in the cash office for Lazarus Department Store for over 12 years.

Peggy was a huge fan of her great grandsons’ sporting events, always attending their baseball, football and basketball games. She was a proud member of the Viking’s Elite Baseball family.

She is survived by her three daughters, Shirley (Gene) Miller of Amanda, Patricia (Ernie) Andrews of California and Vicki (Steve) Cordle of Amanda; grandchildren, Mandy (Justin) Cassley, Michele Andrews and Michael Andrews; great-grandsons, Peyton and Kole Cassley; great-granddaughter, Faith Gibson; step-grandchildren, Michele (Ken) Dille, Melissa (Norm) Tremblay and Jackie (Gene) Bailey; six step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin “Buck” McHale.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Don Blankenship officiating. Burial to follow in Franklin Hills Memory Gardens in Canal Winchester. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Pay to Play Fund at Kingston National Bank, or to the charity of one’s choice in Peggy’s memory.
