CIRCLEVILLE – A local man is charged with murder after the discovery of a body in a Huston Street home on Monday.

Adam Cole Hudson, 31, of 317 S. Washington St., is being held in the Pickaway County jail, charged with the murder of Thomas Mead, 57.

Mead’s body was discovered with apparent injuries by his sister in his home at 214 Huston St. about 8:43 a.m. Monday, according to Chief Shawn Baer, Circleville Police Department.

Baer said Circleville Police officers and Pickaway County Sheriff deputies canvassed the neighborhood working on leads that eventually centered on Hudson as the suspect. After obtaining probable cause, Hudson was taken into custody.

Dr. John Ellis, Pickaway County Coroner, ordered an autopsy to be conducted by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Judy Wolford, Pickaway County Prosecutor, and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) also assisted at the scene.

The case remains under investigation, Baer said.
