Glenn Edwin Skinner II, 70, of Columbus, passed away in his residence on Wednesday morning, Sept. 14, 2016, following a brief illness.

He was born in Circleville on June 13, 1946, the son of the late Glenn Edwin and Dorothy Jane (Fausnaugh) Skinner.

Glenn was a 1965 graduate of Northwestern High School, attended Wright State University and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ohio State University in 1975.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Terry Duane Skinner.

He is survived by his sister, Ann Wiant-Lyon (Russell) of Point Arena, California, and her children, Shaina (Joe) and her sons, Rowan and Lucca; Mia, and her son, Tobias; Aaron and Sara; and his sister, Jane Skinner Nicholson of Heber City, Utah, and her children, Lynn (Dustin), and Rachel (Brian) and her children, Ella and Sawyer.

At Glenn’s request, an informal garden party was held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, on the lawn at the Littleton & Rue Funeral Home, 830 N. Limestone St., Springfield.

In accordance with Glenn’s love of nature and the arts, contributions may be made in his name to The Springfield Museum of Art, Springfield, OH; the Springfield Foundation, Springfield, OH, designated to the existing Northwestern Class of ’65 Endowment for Arts and Humanities; and Little Miami Inc., of Loveland, OH.
