Marilyn L. Posey, 68, of Chillicothe, died at 11:05 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at her home.
She was born on June 11, 1948, in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late George A. and Mary Scott Nolan.
On Aug. 30, 1966, she married John David Posey, who preceded her in death on June 16, 2000.
Surviving are her children, Michael (Becky) Posey of Frankfort, Kevin (Robb) Posey of Frankfort, Loring (Megan) Posey of Kingston, Wyatt (Amanda) Posey of West Virginia, Craig (Stephanie) Posey of Chillicothe, Victor (Theresa) Posey of Frankfort, Brian (Elizabeth) Posey of Chillicothe and Steven (Heather) Posey of Frankfort; grandchildren, Julie Hiser, Hillary Posey, Bryce Posey, Brooke Posey, Kristian Posey, Savannah Posey, Cassidy Posey, Landon Hawk, Arianna Leist, Blake Massie, Robert Steele and Amber Steele; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret (Fred) Hardbarger of Chillicothe and Matilda (Dave) Phillips of Chillicothe; brother, George (Heather) Nolan of Athens; special friend, Johnny Rhymer of Chillicothe; and many special nieces, nephews and very beloved friends.
Marilyn was a member of the first graduating class of Adena High School, in the class of 1966. She worked as a waitress at Bob Evans on Bridge Street, Chillicothe, for 28 years.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016, in the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort, with Pastor Paul Winks officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends are invited to visit with the Posey family at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
