Wayne Preston Bisker, age 93, of Canal Winchester, died on June 13, 2016, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 13, 1923, in Tionesta, Pennsylvania, to the late James and Alice Bisker.
He proudly served as a Seabee in the United States Navy.
Wayne was a devoted member of First English Lutheran Church in Ashville and attended David Lutheran Church in Canal Winchester. He was a member of the 25th PA Masonic District Lodge 557.
Wayne was employed by W.L. Johnson as an operating engineer and was nominated Operating Engineer of the Year by the Ohio Contractors Association.
He was preceded in death by his siblings.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Phyllis Bisker; three children, Sheryl Bisker McGavern, Linda (Jim) Bisker Gorry and Jeffrey (Barb) Bisker; three grandchildren, Kelley Gorry, Christopher Gorry and Allison (Eric) Bisker McFerin; one sister, Doris England; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016, at David Lutheran Church, 300 Groveport Pike, Canal Winchester, OH 43110, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. Interment at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
Arrangements by Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to David Lutheran Church in his memory.
