Staff Reports

The following cases recently were heard by Judge P. Randall Knece in Pickaway County Common Pleas Court:

– Gabriel H. Grossholz, 30, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to a violation of terms of intervention. He was sentenced to nine months in state prison at Orient.

– Tina M. Owens, 44, of Park Drive, Orient, pleaded guilty to theft of unemployment benefits. She will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

– William R. Young, 37, of Five Points Pike, Williamsport, pleaded not guilty to two counts of possession of heroin. A pretrial hearing is set for April 17.

– Eric L. Bell, 26, of Groveport, pleaded guilty to aggravated trafficking in drugs. He was sentenced to 18 months in state prison at Orient and a six-month driver’s license suspension.

– Tabitha Fullen, 34, of Town Street, Circleville, pleaded guilty to falsification and grand theft. She was sentenced to 12 months in state prison (suspended) and five years of community control. She also was ordered to pay restitution of $43,507.50.

– Carey E. Gilpen Jr., 43, of Logan Street, Circleville, pleaded not guilty to two counts of possession of cocaine. A pretrial hearing is set for April 17.

– Carey E. Gilpen III, 23, of Columbus, pleaded not guilty to two counts of possession of cocaine. A pretrial hearing is set for April 17.

– Beth A. Hedges, 52, of Hitler Road #2, pleaded no contest and was found guilty of two counts of attempted assembly of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs. She was sentenced to 36 months in state prison (suspended) and a $10,000 fine. She also must serve three years of community control and received a six-month driver’s license suspension.

– Shawn D. Lamar, 38, an inmate of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections, pleaded not guilty to assault. A pretrial hearing is set for April 17.

– Joshua T. Mogan, 21, of Plum Street, Ashville, pleaded guilty to pandering obscenity involving a minor. He was ordered to serve 90 days in the county jail and five years of community control. He also is required to register as a Tier 2 sex offender.

– Doris J. Riffle, 81, of Eisenhower Drive, Circleville, pleaded not guilty to permitting drug abuse. A pretrial hearing is set for April 17.

– Sarah A. Shannon, 25, of South Market Street, Mt. Sterling, pleaded not guilty to a violation of terms of intervention. The case will be set for a hearing.

– Terra N. Smith, 38, of Middlefork Road, Laurelville, pleaded not guilty to two counts of non-support of dependents. A pretrial hearing is set for April 17.

– Ashley M. Tiller, 26, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to a violation of terms of intervention. She was sentenced to nine months in state prison at Marysville.

– Dustin White, 33, of Middleport, pleaded not guilty to non-support of dependents. A pretrial hearing is set for April 17.
