April 8

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Memorial Hall. The building checked OK.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 200 block of Clark Drive. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported a known female was possibly under the influence in the 400 block of South Pickaway Street and shoving her husband around in front of their child. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– Officers responded to a parking complaint in the 200 block of Westwood Drive. The tires were marked.

– Officers responded to reports of a vehicle speeding on Route 188, and the vehicle was now parked on Lewis Avenue.

– Officers took a report on stolen license plates at Coughlin Automotive on U.S. Route 23.

– A caller reported she was driving on Stoutsville Pike and a golf ball was ejected from a lawn mower, striking and breaking her windshield. A report was taken, and officers will follow up with the country club.

– An employee at Rural King reported a theft of pallets had just occurred and a manager was talking to the driver of the vehicle. The driver advised he had obtained the pallets in his vehicle from Chillicothe, and officers were unable to prove any theft occurred.

– Officers performed a stand-by in the 300 block of Eva Drive.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident at Tractor Supply on U.S. Route 23.

– A caller reported a known subject was at a residence in the 300 block of East Franklin Street and forcing him to stay away. The female subject in question left the residence, and a report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office advised of a 911 hang-up call in which the caller reported a possible roll-over accident.

– Officers responded to an injury accident at Court Street and Route 188.

– Scott E. Wood of Circleville was arrested on an outstanding warrant at Edison and South Pickaway streets.

– A resident in the 500 block of East Mound Street reported a known subject stole her car and credit card sometime that morning and had charged $160 to her account. The resident called back and advised the car had been returned. A report was taken on unauthorized use of a vehicle.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at First Baptist Church on North Court Street. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call from CVS Pharmacy on East Main Street. The call was accidental, and the scene checked OK.

– Officers assisted the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office with someone resisting arrest in the area of South Pickaway Street and Crites Road. The subject was in custody prior to the officer’s arrival.

– A caller reported an alarm going off at JBS Charge N Start on Walnut Street. The owner of the building called back and reported smoking coming from the building. The fire department handled the scene.

– Officers were advised to be on the lookout for a vehicle involved in a hit-skip accident at Dollar Tree on South Court Street.

– Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 300 block of South Court Street. A report was taken.

April 9

– Officers performed a well-being check in the 100 block of Dunmore Road. The subject checked OK.

– Jason Baker Jr. and Michael Giffin were arrested in the 100 block of South Scioto Street after officers responded to reports of a fight.

– An employee at Duke and Duchess on East Main Street reported a male subject was hanging around the business for quite some time stating he was waiting for a ride but no one ever shows up. The male checked OK and advised he was waiting to see someone he knew to request a ride. The employee wanted the male to leave, and he agreed to do so.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Coughlin Automotive on U.S. Route 23. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 400 block of North Court Street requested extra patrol due to juveniles damaging their front door the night before.

– A resident in the 500 block of East Mound Street reported someone was possibly inside their home. Officers checked the scene, and no one was inside. A report was taken.

– Officers performed a well-being check on a subject who walked away from a residence in the 100 block of Rosewood Avenue. The subject checked OK.

– A caller reported someone was using Forest Cemetery as a dump and had left a couch on one of the grave sites. Extra patrol was requested during overnight hours.

– A resident in the 100 block of York Street reported his juvenile son was being harassed by a known subject.

– A resident in the 100 block of Dunmore Road reported a known subject took his vehicle without permission, and the vehicle was recovered on Mill Road in the county.

– Officers were advised of a possible reckless operation vehicle headed toward the city on Kingston Pike.

– A resident in the 300 block of East Franklin Street reported her neighbor’s house was on fire. The fire was determined to be on the back porch, not inside the house. The fire department handled the scene.

– A caller reported a friend in the 400 block of Abernathy Avenue told her a man walked into her house and sat down, and she doesn’t know him. The scene checked OK. Officers advised the caller’s friend was joking with her over the phone and didn’t think she would call the police.

– A resident in the 1200 block of South Pickaway Street reported someone dropped a duffle bag near her porch. The resident then called back and said the owner came and picked it up. The call was canceled.

– A resident in the 200 block of Westwood Drive reported workers in his house broke a window, and he believed it was done on purpose. No report was taken.

– An officer was flagged down in the 300 block of Walnut Street on the report of a stolen license plate. A report was taken on theft.

– Officers responded to reports of a low-hanging power line on East Ohio at Court Street. They were unable to locate the power line.

– A resident came to the police station to turn in a cell phone he found in a house he was moving into. The owner of the phone was notified to pick it up at the police station.

– A resident in the 100 block of Rosewood Avenue reported a known subject was upset and yelling at her. No report was taken.

– Officers performed a well-being check in the 100 block of Lewis Avenue. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 200 block of Villa Drive reported neighbors were playing loud music. Officers were unable to locate any noise.

– An employee at Berger Hospital requested an officer after a patient stated he felt violent. No report was taken.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Pizza Cottage on U.S. Route 23. The scene checked OK.

– The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office advised officers to be on the lookout for a vehicle whose occupant was watching kids play at Mary Virginia Crites-Hannan Park, and when someone approached the vehicle, it took off. All units were advised.

– Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call in the 1000 block of South Court Street. No report was taken.

– A resident in the 100 block of West Ohio Street reported a known subject was using her name and Social Security number in Franklin County. The incident had already been reported there, so no report was taken.

– A caller from Main Street Pub reported a male subject was following a female down the street, and he could hear them yelling. He believed the female may have been assaulted. The victim declined to make a report.

April 10

– A resident in the 100 block of Atwater Avenue reported a loud noise inside her residence that sounded like a firearm discharge. Officers determined a wooden sign fell off a child’s bedroom door. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported an active fight at Starfire Express on West Main Street. A report was taken on disorderly conduct.

– An officer stopped to check on an open door in the 1100 block of South Court Street. The resident advised it was just too warm inside, and they opened the door.

– A caller reported a vehicle driving recklessly at a high rate of speed on Renick Avenue. Officers were advised.

– A resident in the 100 block of West Mound Street reported a vehicle continued to circle the block after the occupants were told they had the wrong address. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 500 block of Willow Lane. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 200 block of Westwood Drive. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported a church was putting on a carnival in a lot on Clinton Street and the music was too loud. The officer advised the church was within its legal limit to have the carnival.

– Officers were advised of a vehicle driving erratically heading into town on U.S. Route 22. The driver checked OK and was advised of the complaint.

– A caller reported juveniles were flying kites near power lines in the lot next to the elementary school on Atwater Avenue. The juveniles were advised to stay clear of the power lines.

– A resident in the 200 block of Logan Street reported two people were harassing her. No report was taken, and officers advised it was possibly a civil matter.

– A resident in the 100 block of Walnut Street reported he was threatened by a man who received a parking citation for a semi cab on the street. A report was taken.

– An employee at Little Caesar’s Pizza on Lancaster Pike reported they received a counterfeit $20 bill. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 300 block of East Mound Street reported a road rage incident in which the other driver followed her to her house. Extra patrol was requested.

– A caller reported two vehicles speeding in the 300 block of Mingo Street. Officers were unable to locate the vehicles.

– Officers responded to reports of a barking dog in the 200 block of South Pickaway Street. No report was taken, and a door hanger was left for the dog’s owner.

– Officers attempted to make contact with the owner of a vehicle parked at the gold course on U.S. Route 23 and blocking the entrance. The message was delivered.

– An employee at Subway on U.S. Route 23 reported a suspicious vehicle circling the parking lot. The subject checked OK.

April 11

– A resident in the area of Half Avenue and Renick Avenue reported a car with the door open at the corner. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 400 block of Buckley Drive reported it sounded like someone was trying to open her door. Officers were unable to locate anyone in the area.

– A resident in the 200 block of Timberline Drive reported her juvenile daughter was being harassed by the mother of a juvenile male through Facebook. Officers advised the incident could be reported to Facebook, but no direct threats were made.

– An officer on patrol reported a nuisance complaint in the area of BE Drive Auto Sales on Huston Street. A report was taken, and a vehicle was impounded.

– A resident in the 300 block of East Franklin Street reported a construction sign had been propped up in the alley at the rear of her home. The service department was notified.

– A resident came to the police station to turn in a key she located at the corner of Washington and Franklin streets. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 300 block of Logan Street reported a male subject was looking at her vehicle, which made her suspicious. The call was handled.

– A caller reported she had locked her child in a vehicle in the 100 block of West Main Street. A report was taken, and the vehicle was unlocked.

– Manuel Woods was arrested for theft after officers responded to reports of a male subject leaving Tractor Supply on U.S. Route 23 with a stolen item in his pocket.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Circleville Fire Station on North Court Street. The scene checked OK and was determined to be a smoke alarm with a low battery.

– Officers performed a well-being check on a juvenile in the 100 block of East Mill Street. Her parent came to get her.

– A caller on McCulloch Avenue reported a person was on the property at Elsea’s trailer park who had a no trespassing order against her. Officers were unable to locate the female. The caller then called back and reported the female on the property again. Officers advised they needed to file trespassing charges.

– Officers performed a well-being check on a subject in the 100 block of Logan Street. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A caller reported a known subject had kicked her daughter-in-law in the stomach in the 400 block of South Pickaway Street, and she was now at Berger Hospital. A report was taken on domestic violence.

– A caller reported a fight between a male and female at the corner of Scioto and Water streets. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A resident in the 900 block of South Washington Street came to the police station to report identity theft. A supplemental report was taken.

– Officers responded to reports of a hit-skip accident in the 100 block of Dunmore Road. A report was taken.

– A caller reported a vehicle speeding through the area of Barry Drive and Francine Court. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– Two callers reported a large pot hole in the road that was not visible in the dark and rain, and one reported damage to the tire on her vehicle. Cones were placed around the pot hole, and the service department was notified.
